Terms & Conditions of HK$100 WeChat Pay HK E-cash Voucher
- WeChat Pay users (“Users”) can redeem the HK$100 WeChat Pay HK E-cash Voucher (“E-cash Voucher”) with a valid unique redemption code (“Redemption Code”) at the designated page in WeChat Pay HK. Redemption Codes must be used within its validity period and will become invalid once expired. One Redemption Code can only redeem ONE E-cash Voucher and will become invalid after being redeemed.
- The E-cash Voucher is redeemed and issued by WeChat Pay Hong Kong Limited (“WeChat Pay Hong Kong”) and is governed by the law of Hong Kong.
- “WeChat Pay HK” is a mobile-based stored value facility managed and operated by WeChat Pay Hong Kong.
- When redeeming and using E-cash Voucher, the user’s WeChat Pay HK account status must be in a normal state (that is, the WeChat Pay HK account is not in an abnormal, account protection or restricted state (“abnormal state”)). Users whose WeChat Pay HK account is in an abnormal state cannot redeem or use E-cash Voucher. If the redemption code or E-cash Voucher expires as a result, no E-cash Voucher will be reissued or any form of compensation will be provided.
- After the User redeemed the E-cash Voucher with the Redemption Code successfully, the E-cash Voucher will be issued automatically in the User’s WeChat Pay HK account. Details of the E-cash Voucher can be viewed under “Offers” – “My Rewards” – “Coupon” in the User’s WeChat Pay HK account.
- Each E-cash Voucher is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. Unused E-cash Voucher will automatically expire and will not be reissued.
- E-cash Voucher can be used at merchants in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Macau that accept WeChat Pay HK for payment (the list of merchants is determined by WeChat Pay Hong Kong from time to time in its sole discretion) when any single purchase of HK$100.01 or more is made through WeChat Pay HK. Only one E-cash Voucher can be used per transaction. For the avoidance of doubt, cross-border transactions conducted via WeChat Pay HK will be automatically converted into Hong Kong dollar settlement.
- E-cash Voucher cannot be exchanged for cash, nor can they be used for any stored value payment instrument value-added services, P2P person-to-person payment transfers, local or international remittances, or profit distribution. E-cash Voucher are only applicable to transactions paid with WeChat Pay HK.
- Users must keep and handle the Redemption Code and the redeemed E-cash Voucher with care. WeChat Pay Hong Kong will not reissue or change the Redemption Code or E-cash Voucher, nor will accept responsibility for the loss or invalidity of a Redemption Code or an E-cash Voucher if it is not caused by the WeChat Pay HK system.
- Users are not required to present the E-cash Voucher when enjoying the offer. Once the conditions of use are fulfilled, the E-cash Voucher will be deducted automatically upon Users making subsequent transactions using WeChat Pay HK. The E-cash Voucher will be shown as used after successful payment.
- In principle, only one e-cash voucher can be used per transaction conducted with WeChat Pay HK. In the event that there are more than one e-cash voucher in “My Rewards” of the User’s WeChat Pay HK account, under applicable circumstances, the e-cash voucher with the highest value will be applied first. For e-cash vouchers that are of the same value, the e-cash voucher with the earliest expiry date will be applied first. For e-cash voucher with same face value and expiry date, the WeChat Pay HK system will randomly use one of the e-cash vouchers.
- If there is any breach of these terms and conditions or illegal, fraudulent or abusive behaviour during the redemption or use of any E-cash Voucher, WeChat Pay Hong Kong will forfeit such User’s relevant E-cash Voucher and entitlement to the E-cash Voucher forthwith and without notice. WeChat Pay Hong Kong reserves the right to cancel such transaction(s) and to take legal action against the relevant User for relevant loss.
- Unless otherwise specified, the E-cash Voucher cannot be used in conjunction with other special promotions, discounts or promotional offers, nor transferred or exchanged for other offers.
- For refund after the payment is completed, (a) in the case of a full refund (as agreed between User and the merchant), the relevant E-cash Voucher will be reissued with its validity period and conditions of usage unchanged, if the relevant E-cash Voucher has expired at the time of refund, it cannot be used again and cannot be reissued; (b) in the case of partial refund (as agreed between User and the merchant), the relevant E-cash Voucher will not be reissued after being used. Please contact the relevant merchant directly for a refund. WeChat Pay Hong Kong will not intervene in any refund arrangements and is not responsible for the performance or quality of products/services provided by merchants. WeChat Pay Hong Kong reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and adjust or terminate the redemption service of E-cash Voucher at any time without prior notice.
- WeChat Pay Hong Kong reserves the right to amend these and other relevant terms and conditions of the E-cash Voucher and to suspend or terminate redemption service of the E-cash Voucher at any time without prior notice.
- Once the E-cash Voucher is redeemed and used, the user accepts and agrees to be bound by all relevant terms and conditions, and agrees that WeChat Pay Hong Kong will use the user’s personal information for this activity in accordance with the WeChat Pay Hong Kong “Privacy Policy” For details, please visit: https://hkwallet.moneydata.hk/hkwalletv3/agreement/agreement_privacy_policy.html
- The use of E-cash Voucher is subject to these terms and conditions. For all matters or disputes related to the issuance and use of E-cash Voucher, WeChat Pay Hong Kong’s decision is final and conclusive.
